Well aren’t I as happy as a kid with a new toy (like Josh and his lego digger).

JON ANNOUNCEMENT

I’ve been asked (and agreed) to become a contributing photographer for The House of Coxhead (http://www.thehouseofcoxhead.com/), which I first heard about through my friend @Rockohoward at Some Kind of Awesome (http://www.somekindofawesome.com/).

I think I’ve been following Thomas’ blog for the last four months or so, and always appreciated his relationship with music and musicians, and that he, like SKoA, is constantly looking for new good music. Not “new hiphop”, or “new pop”, new good music. Good music isn’t defined by genre, but by being good. Having soul, or character, something different, catchy, dynamic or whatever else you look for in it.

So I’ll be contributing photographs to that. I’ll be working alongside @iamcoxhead and @aceatm (he’s http://foodxliquor.tumblr.com) who I’ve gotten to know a bit of over the last few weeks through mutual appreciation of Mikill Pane’s tweets (@MikillPane) and two people I’m new to - @jrangler @roskellmike. It looks like we’re going to expand the site a bit and then some.

Other than that, I’ve been:

• Thinking about the videos I make, and what I can do with those.
• Reviewing products that I would use in daily life, such as the i-Mego Gold Retro Infinity Headphones (link)
• Interviewing folk musicians for Thank Folk For That (link to Raevennan, link to Roy Harper)
• Went to the Hamswell Festival with Kal Lavelle (attempting to put together some video from that)
• Dreaming about new camera lenses
• Considering my next trip to the States and/or preparing for the next Americans coming here to see me.
